Matthew Matt James was born in North Carolina on December 5 1991. The son of Manny James, along with Patty James of mixed race. He is the son of a Nigerian father as well as a Caucasian mother. James graduated in 2010 at Sanderson High School. In 2015, he graduated with his Bachelor of Economics at Wake Forest University. James was famous after he became a reality television star in The Bachelorette. He was picked in 2020 to be the next Bachelor for season 25, which was one of the very initial African American male lead which was later aired in 2021.
